Announcing Fall 2022 Semester
No matter where you are in your recorder playing journey, Recorder Players West is the right place for you! Are you looking to improve your skills (fingers, tongue, breath, rhythm, etc.) or to have the chance to play with others? Whatever your goal might be, our classes cater to different skill levels, ranging from pre-intermediate to advanced, and you will surely fit right in.
This session for the first time RPW will be holding a blended on-line and in-person experience for the ntermediate and advanced classes! Yes, local people will be able to come to St. Bede’s Episcopal Church for in-person classes, and on-line people will be able to join via Zoom! (The pre-intermediate class will remain on-line only.) St. Bede’s Episcopal Church is at 3590 Grand View Blvd., West Los Angeles, two blocks west of the 405 freeway and one block north of Venice Blvd. at the corner of Grand View and Charnock. There is plenty of free parking.
Our wonderful instructor is a professional recorder player (Inga Funck) – guaranteeing a gratifying musical experience! She always manages to make classes fun while helping each student to grow as musician. She exposes students to a rich body of repertoire from different centuries, styles, and countries. Inga has played with members of the LA Phil at the Disney Hall and is an experienced teacher. Outside of Recorder Players West, she is offering private lessons as well as other classes independent of RPW.
Newcomers who have not been to a Zoom class with Inga yet will be given one free class before they have to decide whether or not to join.
Music will be sent via email -- no charge for copying music!
Pre-Intermediate Class
Thursdays, 12 noon to 1:00 pm PDT (1 hour class) on-line only
Class dates: October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, and December 1 and 8
Intermediate Classes
Wednesdays, 12 noon to 1:30 pm PDT At St. Bede's or on-line
Class dates: October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 30, and December 7
Thursdays, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm PDT On-line Only
Class dates: October 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, and December 1 and 8
Advanced Class
Wednesdays, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm PDT (Note change from last session) at St. Bede’s or on-line
Class dates: October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16, 30, and December 7
Tuition
The tuition for the Spring/Summer 2022 classes is $180 for the intermediate and advanced classes (or $157.50 if you are brand-new to Recorder Players West and are making use of the first free class).
For the pre-intermediate class, the tuition is $120 (or $105 for brand-new players).

To register please contact Suellen Eslinger before the start of the class. She will send you instructions about how to pay.
